The Gemcom GEMS Surface and Solid Modelling two-day course is designed for Geologists and Mining Engineers who are responsible for activities that require the creation of surfaces and solids from various data sets. Surfaces and solids in GEMS are used in various tools such as pit design, block modelling, mine surveying and volumetrics.

Course Prerequisites

Before taking this course, you require the following - Knowledge of Windows 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7 Operating System - Completion of GEMS Foundation or basic experience and competency in the use of GEMS - Strong understanding of polyline concepts - Strong understanding of CAD tools The GEMS menu structure and graphical user interface (GUI) are similar to most Windows-based packages and therefore a basic knowledge of the Windows operating system and environment is necessary.
